INTERNSHIPS
Michaud LeBel welcomes one (1) or (2) interns every year.
The work entrusted to an intern is structured in such a way that they can, during the first few weeks, familiarize themselves with various research tools and the overall operations of a law firm. As time goes by, increasingly more complex research and writing assignments will be given. As such assignments will be in connection with active cases, all work performed will have a direct impact on current proceedings.
Interns will be asked to appear before courts of law during the calling of hearing schedules or in order to submit or contest motions. They may also, in order to gather hands-on experience, be required to assist attorneys in the course of complex affairs.
Interns will, throughout their stay with Michaud LeBel, benefit from constant (i.e., daily) support and be encouraged to develop a keen sense of involvement and initiative. Meetings will be held on a regular basis in order to discuss the progress shown by an intern and to make sure that they gather enough knowledge, qualifications and self-confidence as time goes by.
To sum up, we truly want our interns to experience every single aspect of an attorney’s work and to become as efficient and self-reliant as they can be in their upcoming career.
